Not long ago I was talking to someone online and our conversation got into the types of things that are not politically correct to talk about. This could be problematic because who knows what might come back to bite you in the future? Who knows who is listening? We all know that our data is no longer secure or safe, and every single thing that we put online is being recorded, and kept for posterity. It's hard to say why the powers that be need all of this information and data, they clearly don't, but they feel they need to keep control over the people. Yes let's talk about this shall we?
In a country which prides itself on liberty, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness you can see why this poses a problem for those who are trying to keep a watchful eye over user privacy online. I explained to my acquaintance that; "I assume that everything I type into the search engine, write in an email, say on a phone is available for anyone who wants it bad enough. I mean in the present period, that's the world we live in right?"
Now then, perhaps you don't agree with what I'm saying here, or maybe you're just a little naïve about the future ahead. Nevertheless, if you fail to ignore all that is, the reality is not going to go away, it's only going to get worse. If you complain about it, you can easily be branded a disruptor, or someone problematic, someone that perhaps shouldn't be hired, shouldn't get a raise, shouldn't get a security clearance - basically someone who can't be trusted. A rebel, a rogue individual, or who knows perhaps falsely identified by some artificial intelligent computer system as a potential terrorist.
Things haven't got that bad yet, or have they? We don't know - isn't that part of the problem? Which groups do you belong to, who are your friends on Facebook, and do you actually know any of these people are what they're up to in their real lives? The reality is you may never meet them, but you don't know if they belong to an eco-terrorist group, have family members who are terrorists, or belong to perhaps the tea party and are on government watch lists at the IRS.
And even if you are not part of the tea party, perhaps you are part of their political opposition, and the next group to get in charge may be politically aligned with their way of thinking. In that case being on the opposite side of the political spectrum now becomes the same problem in reverse, as that political pendulum swings. You don't know where that political pendulum is going to the future, and it may catch you right in the middle. Today what you consider to be politically incorrect - tomorrow could have you labeled as unpatriotic terrorist, arrested, or put on a list. Please consider all this and think on it.
